Salary: £29,301 - £31,076, with progression to £38,183, pro-rata per annumClosing date: 11 September 2017 As part of the Careers Service’s Enterprise Team, responsible for the University’s enterprise and entrepreneurship support for students and graduates, Enterprise Advisers (Education) deliver curricular and co-curricular enterprise and entrepreneurship education and manage key relationships with students, graduates and academics responsible for student employability and enterprise. You will be working with academic staff to ensure that undergraduates and postgraduate taught students across the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences have access to high quality enterprise skills development and entrepreneurship education, and therefore a background in a relevant subject area and/or industry will be an advantage.
You will be a motivated, innovative and passionate enterprise and entrepreneurship educator with a degree (or equivalent). A coaching qualification and/or a higher degree in business, enterprise or education are desirable. Experience of collaborative working with academics is essential as is experience of teaching groups and individuals. You must be people-centred and able to manage a complex portfolio of duties and relationships and work effectively in a team using your initiative. The ability to establish and maintain effective communication with a range of audiences is essential as is the ability to be flexible, adaptable and manage change positively.
Although this post is based in the Careers Service, it is expected that you will support students, graduates and academics on and off campus. A positive approach to working irregular hours including evenings, occasional weekends and intensive weeks when required is essential as is the willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
