We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to cover maternity leave for the Director of Strategy and Culture. This is a relatively new role, and provides oversight and leadership to all membership services offered by the Union, specifically Student Voice (Representation and Democracy), Advice, Student Opportunities (Sports and Societies), Marketing and Volunteering. Each of these areas has a staff team to support the delivery of the organisation’s strategic themes.
This is an exciting time for USSU, as we come to the end of our 2015-2018 strategic plan, and begin consultation on the next strategic period. This role will be instrumental in helping to shape services and activities in line with student need, ensuring that the future direction of the Union is truly student-led.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop existing management expertise, gaining experience at senior level with a talented and strong staff team.
