All Saints’ calling is to train women and men for lay and ordained ministries in the Church of England. This exciting new post will be responsible for ensuring that all academic administration and support work is delivered in an efficient and timely way to support our educational programmes.

We are looking for an exceptional person with a good first or higher degree, who has an excellent understanding of academic quality and its processes, and who is able to implement this collaboratively, efficiently and with sensitivity.

The Registrar will be part of the management team and lead the Support Team, ensuring that all administrative and support roles collaborate to support the academic staff in delivering and developing our agreed educational programmes. 

The Registrar will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all academic resources, processes and outcomes in co-operation with relevant colleagues.

The Registrar will be able to apply their understanding of academic quality to educational programmes relevant to discipleship and ministerial training in the Church of England.

Significant Working Relationships

  • Accountable to the Principal and line managed by the Vice Principal
  • Members of the Support Team
  • Course Management Team and committee chairs
  • Director of Postgraduate Programmes and other academic staff
  • Partner staff responsible for oversight and delivery of programmes

Place of Work

All Saints’ registered office, on the Warrington Campus of the University of Chester.

Occasional work in teaching venues and with partner organisations in the North West and East Midlands.

The Role

  • Manage the administration of all academic programmes
  • Supervise the Support Team, ensuring good communication and effective partnership with others to provide an efficient and reliable service to staff, students and trustees
  • Manage student admissions, registration and fee levies
  • Ensure that student records are kept in accordance with best practice in data protection
  • Support the Vice Principal in implementing quality assurance and enhancement processes
  • Maintain documentation for the annual review, and manage inspection and compliance processes
  • Ensure that academic misconduct issues are handled efficiently and humanely
  • Oversee the processes for mitigation, reasonable adjustment, etc.
  • Ensure that preparations for and outcomes from exam boards and academic committees are completed to the highest standards
  • Ensure that the Board and its committees receive efficient administrative support
  • Provide advice and administrative support on maintaining educational partnerships
  • Ensure the provision of administrative support and advice to the Principal and the Vice Principal
  • Ensure that administrative support to students and staff is sympathetic, friendly and professional
  • Form excellent working relationships with All Saints’ stakeholders, and support colleagues in doing the same
  • Oversee the development of a supporter/alumni database
  • Other duties as required from time to time to enable All Saints to fulfil its mission.
