Loughborough University conducts research into advanced engine technology to improve engine performance, emissions and sustainability.
These are exciting opportunities to join an established group on a large new project developing new engine technology. The work will be with major international engine/vehicle manufacturers and suppliers and is supported by the national Advanced Propulsion Centre UK www.apcuk.co.uk.
Applicants must have a good honours degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related subject, and ideally have relevant postgraduate research or industrial experience in any of the following areas: optical measurement, fluid flow; combustion; heat transfer; chemical processes; IC engines; or gas turbines. Experience of project planning and use of advanced measurement techniques is essential.Candidates will be expected to have good communication skills. Experience with modelling techniques and experimental instrumentation and an interest in automotive and IC engine product development is desirable.
