Detail information about job Web Content Publisher. Terms and conditions vacancy

Are you passionate about creating excellent websites and an unrivalled digital user experience? Do you combine content and copywriting skills with extensive experience in building code using HTML5 and CSS?

The Digital Experience and Engagement Team within the University Recruitment Service at Leeds Beckett is tasked with reshaping the digital landscape across our university. Our website has won numerous awards and has helped us to deliver effective student recruitment in a competitive marketplace.

The primary focus for this role is the management, publication, and enhancement of online content provided by the wider university. Using the University content management system and working with the development and design teams, you will be responsible for ensuring that all content is presented in the most suitable and stimulating ways possible, and is optimised across all devices and all browsers. You will monitor and review content for technical accuracy, and provide support and mentoring for users across the University who publish their own content on our various websites.

The role is a bespoke one that mixes a technical understanding of website development and coding, with a visual flair and knowledge of web design and user experience principles, and the ability to write and edit effective web copy. You must be able to build content at a code level within the CMS, requiring a strong knowledge or HTML5, CSS, and other online technologies. Experience of manipulating and editing imagery would also be an advantage. You should also be methodical and have an eye for detail as large scale monitoring, review, and revision of existing content will be a regular task. A good working knowledge of SEO and online accessibility would be a distinct advantage.

Working cross functions, you will support the Head of Digital, as well as the Online Content and Search Editor and the Senior Developer. You will be highly motivated, have strong project management skills, and enjoy a busy fast-paced environment.

We welcome applications from all individuals and particularly from black and minority ethnic candidates as members of these groups are currently under-represented at this level of post. All appointments will be based on merit.

Closing date: 19 September 2017 (Midnight).
