Fixed-term post until the end of October 2020.

The University of Gloucestershire, in collaboration with The Football Association, are seeking an accomplished individual to lead and drive the development of football coaches in the South-West region, working at both grassroots and the elite level of the women’s and girls’ game.

This new role will drive collaboration between the University, local football providers, and the Gloucestershire County FA to support the successful development of a creative & effective coach development programme to provide female players with consistent and fit for purpose coaching.

In addition, the role will develop the women’s and girls’ football offer across the institution, with specific focus on developing the student workforce, coaches, officials, and sport science support.

The ideal candidate will hold a UEFA B Coaching licence in addition to being educated to degree or postgraduate level in a sports related field. They will have an understanding of the FA LTPD-4 corner model as well as a complete understanding of FA DNA, coaching and learning philosophies. A knowledge and understanding of the FA Women’s Football Strategy and National Game Strategy is essential.

The post will have a regional responsibility, covering the South-West area.
