The Academic Administrator is responsible for the administration of the academic functions for the Department. The Academic Administrator works closely with the Departmental Tutor, Deputy Head of Department (Teaching) and the Exams Tutor, to ensure implementation of student facing processes and examinations in an efficient and timely manner. The Academic Administrator is responsible for monitoring and entering student marks across the department, and for producing reports which analyse student results. The Academic Administrator is also responsible for all administration relating to existing research students: monitoring attendance, liaising with academic supervisors; arranging upgrades and viva examinations. The Academic Administrator is the first point of contact for research students for all queries on legal requirements.

This is a permanent post available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate with have a comprehensive knowledge of academic administration in the higher education sector.

Applicants must have a good general education and will be highly motivated with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. The post holder must have the ability to interact confidently with staff at all levels and with students. The ability to prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision is essential.
