At UEL, we pride ourselves on the real-world relevance of our courses and research and the impact we are making in our east London community and the wider world. We are an open and inclusive university that is focused on transforming the lives of our students. Our corporate plan sets out an ambitious agenda for our future success which focuses on the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning and excellence in research. UEL has almost doubled its output of world-leading research in recent years and 94 per cent of the research UEL submitted to the Research Excellence Framework 2014 was deemed to be of an at least internationally-recognised level. In the last two years, we’ve risen 79 places in the National Student Survey league table, and we achieved our highest ever student satisfaction score in 2017.

Our School of Psychology is one of the largest in the UK and has an excellent record in undergraduate and postgraduate professional training. This is complimented by a strong research profile; in REF 2014 the School of Psychology at UEL was one of only four submissions to secure 100% 4* rating for research impact. We are a School that drives innovation and excellence in programme development and student experience. We are committed to the expansion and diversification of all aspects of our activities. We welcome applicants from all areas of psychology or a closely allied cognate discipline that complements or extends the reach of the School (http://www.uel.ac.uk/psychology/research/researchclusters/). Successful applicants will have experience of teaching and supervising both quantitative and qualitative research methods at undergraduate and master’s levels.
