The University is embarking upon an ambitious and exciting opportunity to replace its current Student Records System. You will be part of a 'implementation team' and tasked to develop the reports. This is a high profile opportunity to engage with senior stakeholders across the University, vendor specialists and to establish the basis for transformational change in student administrative support processes with our recently procured transformational partner.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios and other methods
  • Building effective networks with stakeholders across the University in order to aid the prioritisation of IT system requirements and to communicate and manage user expectations
  • Translating user requirements into options analyses, process and data models as the basis of further application development or procurement activities.

You should have:

  • Proven experience of systems development lifecycle including requirements capture, analysis, design, development, testing and user documentation
  • Solid understanding of IT project management and planning including milestones, critical paths and change management
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively with IT development staff, users and senior managers to define and deliver IT services, systems and solutions
  • A customer-orientated approach to service provision.
