We are looking for a researcher with experience of regenerative medicine to join the Section of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.
The Research Associate will join Prof. De Coppi’s research team and will concentrate on the translation of tissue engineered applications into preclinical and clinical trials. The post holder will support the establishment of GMP facilities and protocols for the translation of tissue engineered products into the clinic. The successful candidate will to contribute to all of the projects currently ongoing, and will be encouraged to develop their own ideas and research projects within areas of strategic importance.
The post holder will be required to conduct and lead research in the area of regenerative medicine as well as support junior members of the team in achieving their potential as a supervisor or mentor.
We are keen to attract candidates with an excellent research track record, teaching interest and experience in regenerative medicine and stem cell biology.
The post is available immediately and is funded for 3 years in the first instance, further funding for the post is dependent on performance.
A PhD in an area of stem cell biology/ cell biology / developmental biology.
Experience of conducting research in regenerative medicine at a post-doctoral level, with well-developed research skills and direct experience human cell culture, molecular and cell biology, immunohistochemistry/histology and microscopy/ imaging.
