The Cass Research and Enterprise team exists to support researchers and academic staff in pursuing opportunities for funding, develop Knowledge Exchange (KE) activities including consultancy, contract research and Knowledge Transfer Partnership projects (KTP), realising Impact and supporting the school’s REF2021 strategy.

Responsibilities

To support Cass’s Associate Dean for Research and Enterprise, Business Development Manager and Research Development Manager in the ongoing development and implementation of their portfolios. This includes supporting the preparations for research assessment exercises (e.g. REF 2021 and beyond) and other internal and external assessments, audits and inspections including the ARQM and any practice runs for forthcoming REF exercises. This may include preparation for and minuting of the Research and Enterprise Committee and other meetings, monitoring of project budgets, preparing invoices, payments, compiling electronic files of documentation and supporting set up of events.

Person Specification

The successful candidate should have experience of developing and delivering agreed plans and objectives and have strong organisation skills. They should have the ability to proactively plan and implement programmes of work to meet agreed priorities. They should also have a good knowledge of how universities operate, particularly with respect to research and enterprise activities. For a complete list of please refer to the job description.
