This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of an energetic team at the forefront of delivering high quality, student focussed and comprehensive administrative support throughout the student lifecycle, right from enrolment through to receiving their final results.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as the University of Reading has recently reconfigured its programme administration and you can look forward to contributing to new developments to further improve the delivery of the Support Centre’s services. The job description of the role gives the full range of activities you may be involved with, in support of your allocated programme(s). Previous experience in Higher Education administration is not required, as full training on systems and processes will be given and support from line managers, peers and academic staff will be available to ensure that you are able to learn your new role quickly.

We now have a number of roles available for the role of Senior Programme Administrator. This role is an exciting opportunity to help us shape, develop and implement teaching and learning operational support across the University. You will also contribute to the ongoing smooth and seamless delivery of best practice academic administration management from enrolment through to final result.

Role Purpose

You will supervise a team of programme administrators and provide comprehensive end-to-end administrative and teaching and learning support to the assigned programme portfolio, ensuring a high quality student experience. You will work with the Programme Manager to develop, implement and maintain the consistent and integrated delivery of the Support Centre’s programmes.

We are looking for a highly competent individual with experience of working within programme administration, capable of supervising and motivating a team of staff and embracing and enabling change.

You are well organised, have a logical and professional disposition and have experience of using databases to maintain and retrieve data. You have excellent communication skills and a strong focus on attention to detail and high quality output.

You enjoy working with academic colleagues and students and are passionate about delivering a first class service.
