We are looking for a committed and experienced manager with professional expertise related to student mental health, to contribute to the work of an integrated team of Library & Student Services specialists who provide services to enhance student learning and to enable them to achieve their full potential.

A key role within the department, the Student Wellbeing Manager will lead and support the development and delivery of services related to student welfare and wellbeing. The role is crucial to the strategic development of inclusive and embedded services and reports to the Head of Gateway and User Experience. You will lead and manage the counselling team and will be required to work across LSS services in order to ensure the strategic development of student wellbeing services. You will contribute to internal groups relating to mental health and wellbeing, provide professionally-informed advice for staff and play an active role externally, ensuring that service development reflects best practice in the sector. The post-holder actively participates in and contributes to policies and procedures related to safeguarding and support to study.

With a postgraduate degree or recognised professional qualification related to student mental health such as counselling, psychotherapy or mental health advice, or with substantial experience within the field of mental health or student wellbeing, this role would suit a creative individual with initiative and strong management and communication skills, who enjoys interacting and collaborating with a wide-range of people.
