Following the highly successful World Questions|King’s Answers Campaign and ahead of the launch of our new campaign, the Fundraising and Supporter Development department at King’s College London are looking for an ambitious and proactive individual to join their high achieving Major Gifts team as a Major Gifts Officer.
You will be fundraising for world leading educational programmes and innovative ground breaking research, working with high net worth individuals (mainly but not exclusively in London). The role will involve generating philanthropic funds by engaging with donors and developing strategies to secure new income from a portfolio of potential donors.
The successful applicant will have excellent relationship building skills, as well as being highly literate, a background working in a target driven environment, ideally within the not for profit sector and experience influencing and negotiating.
A knowledge of a Fundraising database is not essential but is an advantage.
Fundraising and Supporter Development recruit against a set of core values. These are values that are important to us, help us to be a high performing team and are a key part of our departmental culture. We have a two stage selection process consisting of a skills interview followed by a second round core values interview which focuses on a candidate’s approach to work and their values.
The selection process will include competency based interview and a core values interview.
