The Opportunity

Take the financial helm of this of a flagship Canterbury Multinational with a new and more globally centric business model over recent years. As the business grows its northern hemisphere presence and its subsidiaries revenue streams, the Accounting landscape becomes more complex and exciting with every year.

They now seek an experienced Group Finance Manager or FC to take on a key leadership role managing an leading local and international finance functions

An innovative manufacturing business with international operations. The business is sophisticated with a solid product portfolio and number of revenue streams with differing geographical demands that require a strong technical and operational acumen to manage effectively.

The Role

The business is open to considering applications from technically capable Financial Controllers and Managers who are ambitious and are looking to take the next step in their leadership career.

You will have the gravitas and knowledge to be involved in the commercial and operational decision making, which will shape the path the business takes over the next few years.

• Overseeing and reviewing to ensure accurate production of consolidated accounts and reporting for the parent
• Monthly review of performance and KPI’s
• Business and financial planning
• Ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting
• Overseeing, FOREX and transfer pricing. (experience not necessary )
• Facilitating the monthly and annual process for financial control and reporting
• Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained with accountability both locally and internationally
• Project accounting and financial modelling
• Managing and developing a team of 5 - both locally and remotely
• Responsibility for the accurate accounting treatment of commodities and inventory held
• Preparation of statutory accounts for each subsidiary and the group, managing the audit process and being the direct contact for any audit/ taxation matters for the group

Qualifications & Attributes

• CA/ACCA qualified Accountant
• 7+ years PQE
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to dive into detail as required
• Experience of facilitating change within a business - Integration of systems, processes and creating efficiencies
• Experience of group Accounting methodologies essential
• Excellent people, leadership and delegation skills
• Previous exposure to the technical challenges that an international group of businesses offer
• Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.
