About the role

This is a job that requires someone who can do a bit of everything, and we are on the lookout for someone to join the dedicated team on a full time basis. This is a key role that requires someone who can manage the maintenance of the building and grounds to ensure that our village meets all Building Warrant of Fitness requirements and is well presented at all times. Working alongside the Village Manager, you will have responsibility for the day to day repairs and maintenance, planned and long term maintenance programmes and you'll help manage contractors and staff to deliver quality results within budget.

On offer is a full time opportunity, working 40 hours per week. Availability for maintenance related call outs is essential.

Skills and experience required

To be considered for this role you need to have a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience including: planning and managing maintenance programmes, renovation and renewal of property, working with teams of tradesmen and contractors, well developed organisational and time-management skills, the ability to prepare and work to budgets and confidence using a range of tools and machinery. You will need to be practical and reliable, display independence and initiative. You will also be an excellent problem solver, great at multi-tasking, and have a high standard of personal presentation. We are looking for someone with a 'can-do, will-do' positive attitude and a full driver's licence, and you will also have strong Excel computer skills, with medium to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.

An excellent level of written and spoken English is also essential, together with a great customer service focus and empathy and respect for our residents.
