My client is New Zealand’s Market leader in independent truck and equipment planned & reactive servicing and repair. They also hold exclusive distributions rights in NZ for HIAB Truck Mounted Equipment across multiple brands. This company is in the height of its growth and now is an exciting time to join them, the ongoing career prospects within this business are unmeasurable.
Currently they are looking for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their team. Along with being solutions based and having the ability to assist with personal development of the apprentices, you will have an outgoing positive attitude and the maturity to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
Reporting to the Service Manager your role will include:
- Overhauling, Servicing and Refurbishments on Trucks, Trailers & associated components
- The ability to work unsupervised on a mixture of commercial vehicles
- Complete written job sheets, reports and other basic administration duties, accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Work within the frameworks and guidelines provided by the company to ensure a high standard of workmanship
- Provide Technical Support to internal team & customers
- Support the culture of the company by supporting other team members development & projects
- Keep a current working knowledge of Industry & Standards.
You will need
- Full and current Drivers License in all relevant classes
- Computer Literate
- Qualified heavy diesel mechanic
- Experienced in electronic diagnostics
- Proven understanding of safe work practices
- Enthusiasm and participation in an excellent team culture
To be effective in this role you will be a clear communicator whom has a willingness to learn and has a solid mechanical background.
