Agstaff is a New Zealand owned and operated Recruitment and labour hire company, specialising in the Agricutlure Sector.
Our Clients who farm an intensive arable farm in Mid Canterbury of 900 ha grow a wide variety of crops including cereals , grass seed , vegetable seeds, process vegetables onions, lilly bulbs, and potatoes They also operate an on-site onion and potato grading and packaging facility.
They have a large fleet of modren well maintained machinery including Tractors ,harvesters,implements, irrgation systems and grading equipment.The diversity of their farm, along with stable core of long term employees, makes it an interesting and rewarding environment to work in.
About the Role :
They are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who will be challenged by being responsible for the smooth running and maintenance of their machinery. As their business relies on machines doing their work ,the person they are looking for will have an important key position.
This role will also involve managing their fully self-contained workshop
Skills and experience they are looking for :
:Preferably a qualified Diesel Mechanic
:Someone who has the confidence in their abilty to diagnose and solve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems in machinery
Someone who has a background in working with agricultural machinery and set up their own work schedule
