Our Client is a well-established and leading NZ supplier of door hardware to the construction industry. They're passionate about what they do and being the industry leader in their field. 
Their in-house installation capability is continually being developed and they have extended their range of services from door hardware to include washroom equipment, specialty doors, and other construction related activities. 
Their forward work includes solid contracts as a maintenance provider for existing detention facilities and as a subcontractor for new prison building projects.


Who we’re looking for.
We’re looking for an experienced locksmith perhaps also with other general installation, maintenance capabilities and security lock experience.
It’s essential that you are very well organised and have a commitment to delivering excellent service.
You'll enjoy an energetic, ‘get the job done’ culture in addition to having healthy banter with a fun team.

What Experience do you Need?
They use specialized tooling and equipment including Chant morticing equipment, jigs and templates.
The successful applicants will need to demonstrate familiarity or experience in the areas of:

  • Security / Prison door system installing
  • Commercial hardware install
  • Customer service
  • Problem solving
  • Computer use - Microsoft Applications
  • The ability to solve problems and think on your feet is important along with a strong team approach and desire to be involved.
  • Clear communication with clients, Prison Staff and your own team is vitally important so you will need to demonstrate excellent written and oral English skills.


Pay and Hours
Pay depends on experience and the hours are generally 45 paid hours, Monday to Friday with some possible Saturday overtime – call outs are paid as additional hours.
Some work needs to be completed after business hours so some flexibility is important.
A company van and tools will be provided with this role.

 

To be eligible for this position you must currently reside in NZ and have a legal right to work permanently in this country.
