Role
We are seeking an experienced Waterjet Operator to join our team. Reporting to our Workshop Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure the waterjet is operating to a maximum efficiency and delivering quality waterjet jobs ensuring time and cost requirements as well as customer expectations are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- programming and operating the waterjet machine to a planned schedule.
- cleaning and recalibrating the machine after cutting.
- performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- managing the stock control and traceability of consignment and any other materials including off-cuts.
Person
Our ideal candidate will have an affinity for operating machinery with at least two years experience operating a waterjet machine. You will be able to read and interpret CAD drawings and DXF files, work with schematics and comprehend technical instructions. Experience operating a forklift and a valid licence would be an advantage. You need a good understanding of safety requirements in a workshop environment and will take pride in your work. You will be a hardworking person who enjoys working as part of a professional team to achieve exceptional results. You must be eligible to live and work in New Zealand for this role.
