Spotless is seeking to recruit a Work Supervisor with a Trade/Technical background to join our Facility Maintenance team delivering great outcomes to Housing New Zealand Corporation based at Spotless Head Office in Auckland
Under direction from the Team Leader, the Works Supervisor is responsible for the effective delivery of contract services and day-to-day supervision of sub-contractor services. You will ensure that works undertaken are in accordance with contractual arrangements between Spotless and respective subcontractors to meet or exceed the contractual obligations of the Housing New Zealand Corporation (HNZC) Maintenance Contract.
Your Trade/Technical background will enable you to ensure that service, quality, and contract standards are met by sub-contractors.
The ability to provide direction and guidance to both HNZC personnel and subcontractors and ensure work is being performed as specified in work orders and in accordance with contractual requirements. It is expected that you will manage high levels of customer service by scheduling regular onsite meetings and provide prompt feedback to the admin team, the client and sub-contractors on the progress of works.
It is essential that you work with little supervision and have the maturity to know when to seek advice in order to ensure standards and procedures are not compromised.
The person we are seeking will have the following attributes:
- Technical expertise and trade qualification in a building related profession.
- Technical competencies in domestic building.
- Knowledge of work planning and scheduling procedures.
- Experience in the supervision and monitoring of subcontractors.
- Full understanding of OH&S regulations.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills along with attention to detail
- A passion for maintaining a safe work environment
- Legally allowed to work in NZ
- Hold a clean and current driver’s license

The successful applicant will be dependent on passing a Criminal Records check and Pre-employment Medical.
