New World Paremata is currently seeking a Baker to join our busy instore bakery department.The primary role of the baker is to assist in the day-to-day running of the Bakery department, ensuring that a maximum range and sufficient quantity of high quality fresh baked products are available for sale at all times. This role will involve the production of bread products as well as other bakery products e.g. muffins, cakes, pies, pastries etc.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be able to demonstrate the following
1. A Bakery Trade Qualification or in the process of obtaining one
2. Previous baker and/or bakery assistant experience within the retail environment
3. To be able to meet customer expectations
4. Flexibility to work all days of the week and to be called on for extra shifts if required
5. To be physical fit, healthy and able to lift up to 20kg
6. Strong relationship building & problem solving skills and
7. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
8. Adhere to our principles and values
