Matamata Industrial Machinery Imports Limited (MIMICO) sells, hires and services heavy machinery for the quarrying, mining, contracting, construction, recycling and forestry industries. MIMICO is the New Zealand distributor for Metso Rock Crushers and Screens, Kobelco Excavators, KCM Loaders, Moxy Dump Trucks, CESCO Concrete Mixer Units, ZF Construction Parts & Mixer Drives, Atlas Copco Rock Breakers, and manufacturers of Lamella Portable Waste Water Treatment Plants.
Due to continued growth and a focus on product support, we are looking for an experienced welder/fabricator with mechanical fitting knowledge to join our Matamata branch.
To meet the requirements of this role, you will:
- Be trade qualified with current AS/NZS 2980 certification
- Experienced in Mig and Arc steel welding
- Ideally have experience in the quarrying and mining industry
- Be available to travel away from home
- Be available to work nights and weekends as required to meet project requirements
- Be reliable and hard-working
- Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team
- Have a proven work history which displays high quality workmanship and work ethic
