Counter Sales Assistant | Automotive Parts | Hamilton
Partmaster is a New Zealand owned Aftermarket Auto Parts Distributor that has been established for over 20 years and who represents an extremely strong brand portfolio.
The company specialises in supplying car parts to retail and trade customers, with the core business being trade clients. The business has been built and continues to grow on exceptional service, quality parts, strong relationships and trust.
We are looking for an energetic and customer focused retail sales assistant to join our team in Hamilton.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Follow procedures as instructed
- Effectively communicate with team members and team leaders
- Maintain cleanliness of the store and front counter
- Source and obtain parts for our clients from instore stock, as well as organising parts from our distribution centre in a timely manner.
- Nurture our existing customer base of retail and trade clients
- Assist the branch manager and sales representatives by helping to grow the store sales by supporting their new business leads
- Maintain proper and safe use of all equipment and tools
- Operate POS register
- Collect payment, make change, and handle exchanges

- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Is experienced in automotive parts or 'knows' parts.
