Excel Switchgear Ltd, is a privately owned, New Zealand based company, specialising in the design, and manufacture of electrical and mechanical switchboards, based at a purpose built modern factory in Wingate, Lower Hutt.

We require an electrical designer/estimator to help us meet demand for our services.  

Perhaps you are a qualified electrician who would like to take your career along a different path...or you are an electrical estimator who wants to be involved in a smaller dynamic environment where you get to see a project through from design/quotation to manufacture.

This could be your opportunity....

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing of tender documents or client specifications
• Switchboard design
• Preparation of shop drawings and schematics
• Accurate preparation of quotes
• Liaison with customers/consultants/suppliers

Skills and Attributes required:

• Electrical Qualification and/or industry experience
• Good communication skills
• Sound computer skills
• AutoCAD (switchboard design and wiring schematics) experience would be beneficial but not essential
