About the business and the role
Our company is seeking a Registered Electrician or third-year apprentice to join our friendly team in Wellington. You must be able to work independently, be reliable, honest, have good time management skills and be polite.
This is a full time position with a great hourly rate, dependant on experience and qualifications, a company vehicle, and a mobile phone or phone allowance.
24 Seven Electrical is a full-service domestic and commercial electrical company covering the greater Wellington region and local suburbs.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Practicing a high level of electrical safety at all times
- Performing repairs, modifications, installs and maintaining all electrical assets
- Trouble-shooting electrical systems and rectifying issues
- Performing preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
- Reading and interpreting plans and circuits
Additional responsibilities, depending on experience, may include:
- Quoting jobs
- Planning and overseeing electrical work on individual sites
Skills and experience
Qualifications and experience include:
- Good knowledge of electrical regulations
- Current NZ Electrical Registration with strong technical capabilities
- Full clean Drivers Licence
- Experience in domestic and commercial installation work
- Fault finding on equipment, machinery, appliances and repairs
- Ability to read, work from and interpret electrical services and building drawings
- Manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- Able to work well under pressure
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
