We are a Sales, Parts and Service dealer for the prestigious Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner commercial vehicle brands. Due to internal movement we are seeking suitable applicants to fill vacant positions in the new truck service department. Although heavy transport service and fit up experience would be advantageous, applicants with automotive and light fabrication will be considered as on the job training will be provided. We are looking for a self-motivated person with a 'can do' attitude. The successful applicant would ideally have,

•             Good mechanical knowledge

•             Good written and oral communication skills

•             Excellent attention to detail

•             Light engineering, fabrication and welding skills

•             A team player attitude with a good sense of humour and plenty of initiative

Duties of the new truck workshop include,

•             Fitting of aftermarket electrical accessories

•             Part fitting

•             Light fabrication

•             Tractor and 5th wheel installations and set ups

•             Modifying electrical, fuel and pneumatic systems to suit body building requirements

•             Pre delivery inspections

•             Warranty checks and rectification work

•             Twin steering conversions

•             Wheel base reduction and extensions

•             Chassis height modifications

•             Exhaust system modifications

Remuneration package will vary depending on the applicant’s skill level and experience.
