Our client is a leading Contractor in the electrical Distribution industry in New Zealand, committed to delivering quality focused contracting services nationwide.
The Role
Our client is seeking experienced Electrical Test / Protection Technicians to carry out the testing, commissioning and routine maintenance on new and existing power Distribution equipment - including fault finding work and repairs.
Job Requirements
The successful applicants should have the following:
- Current EWRB Practicing Licence as a Registered Electrician
- 1 – 3 years of experience in Protection Maintenance Testing and Commissioning
- Experience in fault finding and repairs
- Systems operations experience
- Competent to test and commission earth faults over current and Solkor protection
- Can demonstrate an ability to maintain high standards of workmanship
- Have a good understanding of the value of health and safety in the Power industry environment
- Neat and tidy work habits
- Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s Licence
- Have excellent communication skills and can relate well to others.
Additional Information
You will enjoy working on a mix of rural and urban projects. Work is predominantly in the Otago region although some out of region projects may be required.
If successful, you will need to pass a pre-employment medical drug and alcohol test.
