Coolsense NZ Ltd is a chilling systems manufacturer producing systems branded the Vari-COOL.

Coolsense is expanding its operation and dealer network and requires a full time refrigeration engineer to join its team.  The role primary focus will be to support the dealer network in both installation training and technical assistance.  The role will also contain a portion of system manufacture and the factory acceptance testing of systems prior to dispatch. 

Applicants will be required to have undertaken a refrigeration apprenticeship and have a limited electrical certificate. The role is multi-faceted and therefore any individual applying must be a "quick study" as the Vari-COOL systems require knowledge in the following disciplines: Programmable logic Control, Low Voltage Control, Hydronic design and testing, Refrigeration cycle, Basic thermodynamics, Plate heat exchanger theory/design , Plumbing and on site installation.

The Vari-COOL units are all manufactured as a 'ground-up' build in our Hamilton factory. The products are manufactured to the highest quality using state of the art componentry and materials to give an outstanding design.

We are looking to employ an individual whom strives for perfection and has an attention to detail which matches the quality of our equipment. 

The role of an Refrigeration Engineer includes the following:

1) Fabrication and assembly of chilling system chassis' and sub-assembly construction.

2) NC bending and brazing copper componentry and piping

3) Nitrogen pressure testing.

4) Electrical gear plate manufacture.

5) Internal field wiring.

6) Instrumentation termination.

7) Hydronic pipework assembly.

8) Factory acceptance testing.

9) Dealer Training.

10) On Site Technical Support.

11) Build, Operation, Installation, Maintenance Manual writing. 

12) Technical ON Call support to dealers, shared with others in the business.

Skills and Experience Needed

A trained individual that has undergone a refrigeration apprenticeship - otherwise we will accept applicants with extensive work experience within his field. Most skills used at Coolsense will be unique to the refrigeration industry and therefore Coolsense expects to have to train each individual in our procedures of manufacture.
