Our client is a well-established nationwide business with an amazing reputation for quality workmanship. Our client has asked us to find a Door Mechanic to run a new Dunedin Operation.
You will be a highly skilled and talented mechanic and have a background in mechanical and electrical work.
Ideally you will hold an electrical or mechanical qualification and be a proven and respected expert in your field. you will be comfortable liaising with customers and working in various locations across the Dunedin region.
With a fine eye for detail and a natural problem solver you will be comfortable taking on full responsibility for your work and be comfortable working by yourself. Your day will be a mix of planned maintenance, install of doors and fixes.
Alongside your great technical skills, you will be comfortable operating technology like iPhone and iPad as well as being able to accurately complete relevant paper-based reports
The hours of work are Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm with any over time paid at 1.5 of hourly rate. There is a on call after hours roster which runs for one week, once a month and this attracts a very generous allowance
Your progression and development are important and you will be provided with all the training and support required for you to be successful. You will be invited to travel to Christchurch once a month (paid for) to continue training and development and the regional manager will be in Dunedin to catch up with you once a month so whilst you will be in sole charge in Dunedin you have a strong and supportive network around you.
This is a full time permanent role.
