We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter for this leading multinational organisation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will be optimising plant and equipment performance including fault finding, diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance. In addition, there will be opportunities for team-based continuous improvement and assisting with varied project work as required.
To be suitable for this role you require:
- Trade/Tertiary qualification in a mechanical trade
- Specific experience in FMCG industry is highly regarded
- A variety of skills in fitting, turning, welding and fabrication
- Strong fault-finding ability
- Understanding of safety responsibilities and procedures
- Willingness to learn
- Self-starter
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Maintain up to date maintenance records and documentation
- Proficiency in MS Excel and understanding of SAP
- A good understanding of process improvement and the ability to carry out where required
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- Good attention to detail
