An excellent opportunity has become available for a proactive and motivated Service Technician- Mechanical to join our team. This role will be responsible for field/On-Site and depot service requirements, for all our fleet within the Auckland depot & our external client's sites when required.

The right candidate will be focused on maintaining the highest level of fleet quality and availability. Other key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out the total maintenance needs of all hire fleet assets to ensure we receive the best possible returns on expenditure.
• Conduct weekly / monthly scheduled service plan to maintain optimum fleet performance.
• Timely and effectively carry out; internal maintenance and repairs, customer site installations / removals.
• Carry out effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime and unnecessary repair costs.
• Accurately complete Prep for Hire / Delivery / Return / Service Order paperwork to ensure accuracy of stocktake and asset verification.
• Organise and assist in the planning of onsite project needs and ensure that your customer is supported to deliver the job in accordance with the Prep for Hire.
• Actively participate in skills based training suitable to your field
• Participate and comply with company expectation for on call duties
• Localised travel as required to other regional depots / project sites.

To be successful in this role you will be an exceptional communicator with a strong customer focus and the ability to work under pressure and unsupervised. Your planning, problem solving and coordination skills will also help you succeed in this role. You must also be willing to work on call as needed and be flexible to travel at short notice. The successful candidate also requires a Trade qualification as a current Qualified Diesel Mechanic and have a current NZ driver's licence and forklift licence.
