Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) is a farmer-owned co-operative that provides a range of services and solutions to improve the productivity and prosperity of farmers.They have pioneered some of the biggest innovations that provide today’s farmers with a competitive edge, including the systematic testing of milk quality, Long Last Liquid (fresh) semen, DNA technology to genomically identify and help select elite sires, and more recently a short gestation bull team bred to deliver offspring up to 10 days early.Today its products and services include dairy genetics, herd recording software, herd testing, DNA parentage verification, farm advisory services, integrated shed automation systems, milk testing sensors and satellite pasture measurement.
THE ROLE
- Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will lead a finance and support services team to commercially drive the strategy, providing accurate, timely and value-adding insights.
- Ensure strong return on investment by enabling and accelerating the commerciality of the agri-technology investments to drive product development and services to farmers.
- Play a key part in embedding the ongoing transformation processes across the organisation.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 10+ years of proven and successful finance leadership in a commercial, innovative and results driven environment of similar complexity and scale.
- An affinity for agribusiness and innovation.
- Relevant qualifications, ideally CA/CPA qualified.
