About the business
My client is a global engineering exporter with projects all over the globe. They are seeking a Senior Machinist to join their local team. Ideally, this person will have experience in both machining (lathe/mill) and welding/fabrication.
They have grown by leaps and bounds and continue to do so, they want someone with a spark that is keen to come onboard for the ride!
About the role
You will be guiding the fabrication processes of complex equipment and managing a small team.
Guiding apprentices and tradesmen will be required, as well as a strong understanding of Health & Safety and a proactive communication style both upward and downward.
Skills and experience
- Your Trade Cert as a Fitter/Machinist.
- Experience with Lathe/Mill.
- Experience with Welding/Fabrication.
- Be capable of guiding apprentices and junior staff.
- The ability to work in New Zealand.
Ideally, this will be an immediate start and the successful candidate will be keen to go permanent in the future. That said, candidates currently in employment will also be considered.
