We are seeking a Laboratory Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and provide support to the Laboratory Technical Manager. You will be responsible for training and developing the laboratory team to ensure that sample processing is achieved in an accurate and timely manner while maintaining a safe working environment.
This role is based in Te Puke and provides a fantastic opportunity to use your experience within the horticulture or primary industry field as you will manage the daily operations of the laboratory ensuring all IANZ, MPI, industry and QC requirements are met.
You will be able to utilise your excellent leadership skills in order to lead a team and give guidance on work methods and techniques to ensure laboratory outcomes are met to a high standard.
To thrive in this environment you will need to be self-motivated and enjoy working in a team, be analytical and able to work under time pressures. Ideally the successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications together with intermediate excel knowledge, technical knowledge and reporting, and a high level of people management skills.
