The opportunity

This business has achieved remarkable success as a manufacturer, and is undergoing significant growth, through the addition of new technologies and products.  Quality is in their DNA, where they are the preferred supplier for some of the world’s leading medical device and animal health companies.  Their growth has resulted in the creation of this new role, to be based at their Hamilton manufacturing operation

  
About the role

The position exists primarily as the interface between technical and projects teams. You’ll be part of a capable team ensuring the development of a project management culture within a regulated environment, manage multiple projects of varying complexity to budget and timeline as well as liaise with internal and external clients to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  
You need to be able to work independently, be practical
  
You’ll be looked at for your experience to help improve processes and quality initiatives, and new ways of thinking are highly appreciated.

  
Role Function / Responsibilities   
  • Develop and document internal processes and procedures to shape how we manage future projects
  • Oversee all projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis
  • Ensure project safety, quality, regulatory, technical and commercial objectives are achieved through adequate planning and delivery processes
  • Identify and manage project risks
  • Lead, direct cross-functional project teams to ensure completion on time and budget
  • Perform project scope development, manage projects, create comprehensive schedules, monitor deliverables and contribute to feasibility assessments.
  • Develop a disciplined project management culture, lead projects to budget and timeline
  • Coordinate project activities with partners
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve project performance
  • Identify and implement lean opportunities and Kaizen events with support from the CI Manager
  • Drive a lean, engaged high performing culture
  
Experience & Education
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a related role.
  • Proficiency using project management tools to oversee all elements of project lifecycle - PMP Certification a plus.
  • You will have experience managing financial goals by forecasting requirements and tracking annual budgets.
  • Communicate effectively with all echelons of Management and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a strong contributor in a team environment on complex projects.
  • Proven and demonstrated computer and software skills : MS Project is required.
