The Senior Scientist is responsible for delivering specific global pre-clinical and clinical research outcomes to support DGC's range of nutritional products. This involves identifying and collaborating with a range of third party research providers, as well as overseeing the development and execution of research projects. Emphasis will be put on publishing research findings in peer-reviewed articles and journals. The role also supports our market partners as they interface with health care professionals and consumers, and requires a proven ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
The Senior Scientist is expected to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships and must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged. The Senior Scientist is also expected to be experienced in publishing and disseminating scientific results. The Senior Scientist should demonstrate the ability to think strategically and innovatively, and be able to turn that thinking into realistic plans and workflows.
The person:
The Senior Scientist must have a doctoral degree in human nutrition, health science, dietetics or equivalent biomedical discipline; and previous postdoctoral research experience. She or he must be committed to comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments. Demonstrated expertise in clinical research design and applicable legislative controls is desirable.
