Reporting to the Industry Performance and Social Research Team Leader, this role will contribute to our client's building environmental science work. The person in this role will carry out applied research focussed on high performance, low carbon buildings.  It will ideally suit a recent graduate. You will work in the Industry Research group of sustainability scientists, economists, social scientists, building physicists and others as part of a collaboration delivering industry good knowledge.

To be considered for this role ideally you will have the following:

·        A graduate degree in architecture, building science or quantity surveying.

·        Experience in developing Building Information Models (BIM) using Revit, gained minimally through your degree.

·        Experience in or an interest in learning to develop whole building energy simulation models.

·        Experience in manipulating data in Excel, ideally with knowledge in the development and use of VBA macros.

·        Good written and oral communication skills.

·        Be numerate, have an eye for detail and checking the quality of the building models you develop.

·        An enthusiasm to learn and contribute your knowledge and ideas to the team.

·        The ability to manage your work to achieve deadlines.

This role is for an 3 month Fixed Term Employment. We require someone who can start immediately. The hours of work are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday working at the premises of our client.

Hourly rate will depend on prior experience and is negotiable within a band.
