We currently have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer at our ANZCO Waitara site located 15km north of New Plymouth in the Taranaki. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Coordinator, this is a busy role that is responsible for ensuring that various internal and external regulatory and customer requirements are met to ensure we continue to make high quality products. You will primarily be assisting and leading the QA pre-shipment inspection process in the coldstores, before the product goes out for shipment and completing routine QA monitoring of the Cold-stores ensuring compliance with MPI/customer requirements.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary level qualification (preferable)
- Working knowledge of food safety, regulatory and customer compliance requirement
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably within the food industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (particularly, Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Analytical and methodical approach to work
- Be able to think logically and remain calm under pressure.
