Intermediate Asset Manager

A small, but busy and successful family owned Property Company is seeking an Intermediate Asset Manager to join their Asset Management Team. This well-known property entity is responsible for the strategic Asset Management of a substantial, mixed-use portfolio.
 
Working in support of a Senior Asset Manager you will play an important role in the management of commercial and industrial properties across New Zealand.
 
Responsibilities:

• Assistance in the management of a defined property portfolio working within one of two teams
• Establishment of rent, rates and service charge/OPEX budgets for specific properties.
• Assist in the management of lease acquisitions and disposals
• Adherence to building compliance including issuance of BWOF and timely maintenance of all property files.
• Adherence to all Seismic and Asbestos policies obtaining reports where required.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of property industry standards, regulations and legislation.

Key requirements:

• Minimum three years’ experience in commercial property management
• Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Property
• Strong time management skills with a view to delivering results
• Ability to negotiate with both landlords and tenants
• Technically astute with developed problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining effectiveness
