The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Retail Markets Commercial Analysis team as a Commercial Analyst or Junior Commercial Analyst. We have a multi-utility offering and product bundling, which means increasing complexity, particularly regarding price setting and management. Thus, it is important that we manage complexity accurately to ensure that our customers have a good experience. The Commercial Analysis team is responsible for financial analysis around new and existing offerings, identifying opportunities for sales, and providing support for the wider Markets team.
Duties:
- Participate in new market and innovation initiatives to enhance shareholder returns
- Complete profitability analysis in support of product price and proposition determination
- Complete official information disclosures
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and profitability
Skills and Experience
We are looking for either a Junior Commercial Analyst or Commercial Analyst, who is a fast learner, has a thing for numbers and can work both individually and in a team. Along with:
- Great attention to detail
- The ability to drive process improvements and system changes
- Advanced computer literacy (MS products, SQL and other programmes)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent numeracy
- The ability to challenge decisions and question the status quo
- The problem-solving ability
- Bachelor's Degree with strong Numerical or Financial focus, or similar experience
