Overseeing our National Facilities Management goals and strategies is the physical presence and environmental sustainability within the Operations, International and University Registrar portfolio.
The current Manager of Electrical Utilities will be retiring from the University in late September 2018. To ensure that a thorough hand-over occurs, while there is some flexibility we would ideally like a replacement in place by the start of September 2018. This handover is crucial given the complexities of the electrical infrastructures across the Manawatu campus.
Reporting to the Facilities Services Manager, the Electrical Utilities Manager is responsible for developing the over-arching strategy to guide the utilisation of the electrical infrastructure and network, while advising, supporting and guiding works being undertaken which include:
- building and asset maintenance
- capital projects
- energy accounts monitoring
- energy management and sustainability initiatives.
To be successful in this appointment you will have a formal electrical trade or technical qualification, coupled with extensive experience in the electrical/building industry. You will have proven skills in the electrical field with the demonstrated ability to assess the whole of an issue with clarity and be able to actively contribute to solving a problem.
