Our busy regional law office on the West Coast is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our established and successful team.
The team in Westport and Nelson works across a full range of general matters including commercial and residential law, rural law, family law, estates, civil matters and asset protection and planning.
We are a friendly and collaborative team, supportive and with strong family values. We pride ourselves on being down to earth and committed to providing quality advice to our clients.
We have been finalists in the New Zealand Law Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2017 in the Regional/Suburban law firm category and Employer of Choice <50 Lawyers in 2014.
The opportunity:
The position is a permanent full-time position in our Westport office.
Relevant skills and experience
- At least two years’ experience;
- Experience working with fee budgets/ targets;
- Strong time management skills;
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Ability to deal with high pressure situations;
- Experience working with the following areas of law:
Residential and Commercial Conveyancing;
Estate administration;
Trusts;
Subdivisions;
Buying and Selling Businesses;
Leasing;
