Bell Gully’s Corporate Department is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Auckland office. You will be supported by Glenn Joblin and Chris Goddard in a team that has been involved in some of New Zealand’s largest corporate transactions in recent years. The team specialises in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, takeovers, insurance sector transactions, and other general corporate advisory matters. Some recent highlights for the team include:
- Advising AIA on the acquisition of the Sovereign life insurance businesses. AIA acquired the Australian and New Zealand life insurance businesses from CBA for A$3.8 billion.
- Advising Bapcor on its NZ$350 million takeover of Hellaby Holdings.
- Advising Super Retail Group on the NZ$144 million acquisition of Macpac.
- Advising Investore Property on its IPO and six year bond.
- Advising HNA on its proposed purchase of UDC Finance for NZ$660 million.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate with seven or more years of corporate and commercial legal experience, including in private practice.
