Idesi Legal Ltd is a busy specialist immigration, refugee and property law firm. We are based in Johnsonville, Wellington.
About the role
We are seeking to employ a full time Lawyer who has initiative and drive. You will have a passionate interest in immigration and refugee law, and have a willingness to learn.
You will be responsible for delivering end to end services to our immigration and refugee clients including pre-client engagement activities, eligibility assessments, lodging visa applications, responding to PPI letters, making section 61 requests, and drafting appeals.
Your skills will include:
- A sound understanding of New Zealand immigration law is desirable
- 1 – 2 years’ work experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to think laterally and find immigration pathways and solutions for clients
- Excellent time management and drafting skills
- Warm, friendly manner with a genuine interest in dealing with people from various cultures
- Working closely with other team members to deliver exceptional services to clients
- Eligible to hold a NZLS practising certificate
