Our client, is one of New Zealand’s leading independent brokerages with a reputation for outstanding customer service, professionalism, expertise and commitment for their valued clients. Our client is seeking an experienced SME broker to join their fabulous team based in the Auckland.
Your new role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate and reliable advice, service, management and insurance assistance to new and valued clients. To generate revenue by matching client needs to insurer needs. You will be in charge of portfolio management including new business development/growth, retention and impeccable planning to ensure any alterations are processed in a timely manner.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll have a strong understanding of the insurance market, policies and legislation. It will be advantageous if you have your Level 2 or 3 National Qualification Insurance Broking (ANZIIF) or be working towards it. It is absolutely paramount you have a genuine thirst for new business. Previous SME exposure is key, alongside 3-5 years of broking experience. You’ll have excellent communication skills, possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, be a team player but also work well autonomously. You’ll have a natural flare to be able to build new relationships and nourish existing ones
