As a Business Development Manager you will work to achieve and exceed budgeted targets through the selection and development of profitable business opportunities. You will manage business relationships with assigned intermediaries, and promote the Allianz group through meetings and formal presentations.
Reporting to the New Zealand Manager, you will manage a portfolio of insurance brokers and dealer agents and grow the portfolio through new business development, and retention of existing clients. You will develop maintain and strengthen relationships to contribute to Club Marine's national profitable growth objectives.
You will be required to develop strategic business plans for existing clients and identify and execute new business opportunities. You will also be required to participate and represent Club Marine at events such as Boat Shows and other sponsored events.
You will have:
- Proven knowledge of the general insurance market and insurance brokers
- Strong relationship building and management skills
- Strategic selling and presentation skills
- Solid Underwriting, risk evaluation and portfolio management skills
- Highly numerate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven problem solving ability and a keen eye for detail
- Good time management skills
- Sound computer skills with good working knowledge of MS Office
- General knowledge of Boats will be highly regarded
