The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Insurance / Commercial Broker to take over a book of business that has a mixture of clients, predominately within the commercial / SME space.
If you are an individual who is self-motivated and enjoys providing a first-class client service then this role will see you take over an existing book of business to push new business sales growth, providing technical broking support to assigned clients, underwriters and internal stakeholders.
This role will also involve:
- To provide professional, accurate and efficient response to client needs through liaison with clients and underwriters.
- Prepare accurate and concise premium calculations.
- Generally grow the income for the Branch
- Achieve new business targets or goals set by your Branch Manager.
- Processing & Invoicing of premiums.
- Provide professional documentation to both clients and insurers.
- Co-ordinate client renewals in accordance with Aon New Zealand protocols.
- Client and underwriter credit control.
You will have an Account Broker supporting you from an administration perspective.
Furthermore we are also looking for:
- Demonstrated capacity for working in a similar role at a senior level within the broking insurance sectors.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Calmness under pressure and be someone who can go the extra mile.
- High levels of motivation
