Management Accountant | Auckland 

• $75,000 base salary plus Kiwisaver

The opportunity

At Employsure, our Management Accountant will provide support to the Financial Controller and be responsible for the more complex areas of the finance process. It is expected that the Management Accountant will develop relationships with all Heads of Department, assisting with budget compliance and the reviewing of work completed by other members of the finance team.

Key accountabilities

• Weekly bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly QBE Boredereau reports and update remittance reconciliation reports
• Prepare and lodge relevant GST reports and ensure payments are made on time
• Prepare all month end accounting entries, including accruals and prepayments, depreciation
• Monthly preparations of P&L and Balance Sheets and month end reports in agreed formats
• Ad hoc support to the Financial Controller with projects and analysis 

The right person will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting/finance
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large amounts of data
• Able to perform financial modelling techniques and data analysis on Excel
• Minimum two years commercial experience in a similar role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable discussing costs and accounting issues with senior management
• numerical and analytical thinking
