The Role

Join our dedicated team in Auckland who liaise with our customers over the phone and email, looking after end to end insurance claims, from the initial request through to settlement.

This role will be offered as a fixed term contract until March 2019. Initially you'll be based in our Auckland Central office but the team will be moving to Albany once our brand new office is open.

  • Engage with customers, listening to them to understand their needs and to apply our policies accordingly
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers on a day to day basis as the face of NZI
  • Ensure cases are managed accurately and signed off in a timely manner
  • Understand the bigger picture and really get to know our customers' situations to identify how we can best support them

Experience

  • Customer service experience, excellent communication skills and passion for helping people
  • Ability to consider defined procedures when making decisions and interpreting our policies
  • You will be at ease prioritizing workloads and looking after your tasks to ensure objectives are met
  • Success orientated, you will be driven to achieve your goals and objectives
  • Whilst previous insurance experience will help you to excel in this role, it is not required and full training will be provided
  • Mandarin/Cantonese language skills will be advantageous but are not essential
